Survival Spanish

This course focuses on the basics.
One hour per day, five days a week.
Learn everything from household names to carrying on a conversation.
Teachers take students to the market, the post office, a grocery store, etc. to practice what they have learned.

Monday - Friday, 8:00-9:00 am or 1:00-2:00 pm, US$40 per week

 

Semi-Intensive Spanish

Aimed at developing conversational abilities.
Two hours per day, five days a week.
This class is for all levels, but moves at a more rapid pace.
You will develop in allareas including vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and speaking.

Monday - Friday, 9:00-11:00 am or 11:00 am-1:00 pm, US$80 per week

 

Intensive Spanish

This course offers all aspects of the semi-intensive,
however it is more focused
and will put you on the fast-track to learning the Spanish language.
Conversations will include much about Mexican history and culture.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, US$120 per week

 

Spanish Group Programs

We welcome teachers and others who are interested in coming to Centro Mexicano and bringing a group with them. It could be a group of children, students in high school, college, teahers, or professional adults representing a variety of disciplines.

We plan all the activites with the group coordinator, including special activities in addition o the basic hours of Spanish language classes.

We adjust the fees for the group to give a discount to the participants and the coordinator.

 

Private Classes

The individual attention provided bya private class means faster learning for the student.
These classes can be adapted to meet the student's individual needs, such as class times and skill level.

Various days and times, US$15 per hour

 

Conversation exchange

A major obstacle to learning any language is the lack of contact with native speakers outside of the classroom. For this reason, we offer a free one-hour conversation session each week for students from both our Spanish and English classes.exchange on Tuesdays and Thursdays between Spanish and English language students. This exchange serves as a great way to bridge the gap between our communities and helps to foster inter-cultural friendships.

Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7 pm

 

Field Trips

Field trips are offered each week.
Check for dates and times upon arrival.
There will be an additional fee for some of these field trips.

 

General Information

All classes are limited to eitht students per class.
We are open year round, closing only for Mexican holidays.
Sessions begin the first Monday of every month and continue for the remainder of the month.
If you enroll in the middle of a session, we administer a placement exam and adjust your classes accordingly.

 

Josefiina's Multicultural Program for Kids and young adults!

The program is available year round, including summer!
Classes for 3 to 17 year-olds.
Monday - Friday, 9 am - 1 pm, or 2 pm - 6 pm.
US$130 per week


We provide a fun-filled program for your children that offers a unique and creative way to learn the Spanish language using songs, games, and many other activities, we introduce them to vocabulary, grammar, and beginning conversation in a way that is animating and easy to grasp.

Our classes also include a variety of craft-making that your children will love such as painting and drawing, tie-dye, paper-flower-making, piñata-making, and paper mache. They will also have the chance to learn about the art of Mexican cuisine by preparing tamales, tortillas, quesadillas, and a lot more!!

In addition we will offer field trips to exciting places around San Miguel, including sporting areas, in order to expand their knowledge of Mexican culture and tradition.

Eligibility

At Centro Mexicano, we welcome young people and adults for Spanish classes at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, and children from three to twelve years old for our special children's program.
